Topic: Posting my commission.

Posted under General

So I commissioned several pieces from an artist. I posted some here a while back with the artist correctly labeled. A shorter while back the artist who I paid for the piece I posted here removed all their work from here. Am I allowed to repost it here since I have it posted on my furaffinity? Or is it an overall “no work from the artist is allowed to be posted even if the buyer wants it here” rule?

No, knowingly reposting work that was deleted before is considered posting abuse. What you need to do is either ask permission for the artist and give proof of it or convice them to change their avoid posting status to conditional do-not-post status grating commissioners the right to post here. After that you can contact an admin to request undeletion of the posts that you had posted before it was taken down.

At least that would be my solution for your problem. ┐(´ー`)┌

This is not entirely correct.
The only admin handling takedowns and DNP is NotMeNotYou.
You shouldn't contact other admins about it, they wouldn't be able to do anything.

The rest is true, though. The artist's wishes override yours in this regard.
You just need the artist to give you permission to post these images to e621.
Then, provide proof of that to NMNY, and ask for those posts to be restored.

Specifically, unless you've got a contract explicitly stating that you hold copyright for the image, the artist retains copyright.
But seconding bitWolfy, I recommend discussing it with the artist.

Expect to get knocked back if this is about the Blattarieva takedown.
You'll find all those posts are gone from the artist's galleries, too.
