Agreed.

Being able to hit arrow keys on desktops to move to the next image would be nice too.

clicking the image is already reserved for enabling/disabling notes (such as translations)

You might want to try enabling mobile gestures *points at the very bottom of the page* They are disabled by default because they behave poorly on some digitizers, making them annoying instead of useful. For desktop users you can enable keyboard shortcuts in your account settings, and there is a list of them linked at the bottom of every page.

Probably not workable anyway since a post can be in multiple pools.

That's simple enough, just make it only apply to the one specified in the URL (which shows up as bolded in the pool list).

It only does that when you come from the pool. This link does it for one, this link does it for the other, and this link does it for neither, yet they're all links to the same page. There's also been requests for an option to always strip the query from the URL (like this ) since you generally won't want them when copying the link for someone else.

It also does that after you click on the "Next" button for the first time, which I don't think is too arduous a barrier compared to clicking it every time.
