So, I've recently learned that JadeArt9, an artist from Twitter, was leaving, and left no alternate place to find their stuff. It'd have been a shame if they would delete their accounts and the art would be lost forever. So I took the opportunity to preserve the art by uploading it here. Now, a bunch of pieces have been approved, whereas others apparently do not meet quality standards. Their art is fairly similar across the board, both in quality and style. So, why is only part being approved?
From what I understand, it's up to each individual approver's personal whims, whether or not something gets approved? Sounds like a terribly randomized way of doing it, to be honest. Especially when the collection isn't terribly different from one another. I understand the artist's works aren't everyone's cup of tea. In fact, most seem to despise it, given the numerous downvotes. I myself found it nice, given there's a lack of the franchise art in general, even if it's arguably subpar to most artists. It's one of the few that actually looks like the show's style.
Since the quality of some pieces is considered "too low" for some staff, and yet "acceptable to approve" to others, there's no real consensus among the approving staff. Therefore, I would like to request the removal of all JadeArt9 artwork, whether approved or rejected.
In the end it's your decision. I'm not going to argue that. Nor am I going to upload the remaining few pieces by the artist. Though in my personal opinion, if the artist's works are that questionable in terms of quality, then it should be removed entirely, not partially.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
