I'm sorry to do this but i tought it would be sensible to ask here since i've got a question in mind.

Today i found a pic i've had previously posted but the artist made a newer version with a background , is that considered a repost or just an alternative version to be posted up on a parent post.

I'm quite sorry for being a dummy , also sorry for bothering you guys with dumb questions.

I'd say that it would count as a different version, not a repost.

Except is she explicitly updated the image to have the new background only, then we'd remove the old version as well.

Then i should upload the newer pic and flag the old one without the background.

Well I think if you don't know what the artist said about the picture (or didn't said anything) the best choice would be to upload the second pic and parent it to the first one.
