So I saw the new Sonic Frontiers trailer and it looked pretty good, I mean, surely it isn't going to be filled with glitches, broken files, low textured skyboxes, shotty controls, lazy made cut scenes, and an ending that makes you question why you even bothered putting in the effort in beating the game in the first place.....I hope.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for them to make a sequel to their most famous game. Like ffs, when are they finally gonna release Sonic '07?

Eh, I'm prolly gonna play it when it comes out, but, I just think "Open World" and "Sonic" don't really mix, at least, not in a way that I think Sonic Team can pull off with confidence.
And every time I see all those fan games of open world Sonic, I just think "oh, that's neat", and it just... Idk man.
Everything they've shown off just feels and looks really lacking, which is a common issue with open world games.

Hopefully, all this time they've taken to make it means that it's gonna be way more polished than their recent works, but like, man. lol

That's barely a 'trailer'. But it looks like 3D, so it's going to be an another fail again. They should take a page from Metroid: Dread and go back to the roots.

Ngl, for something as ambitious as that, and looking at their track record for the most recent Sonic games, my expectations are low. I'd like to see a gameplay trailer or demo of it before I'd make any conclusions

I don’t know if any of y’all have heard or not, but the guy who’s writing the plot for this new game is a big name within the Sonic fandom. It’s Ian Flynn. AKA one of the heads of the Sonic Comics.
