Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: doom_slayer -> doom_guy

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #56028 doom_slayer -> doom_guy has been rejected.

Reason: They are both the same character.

Alternate versions such as the ones listed in the articles above should also be aliased to doom_guy.

I feel like "Doom Slayer" would be better, as that seems to be his "official" title in the new games.

wouldn't that mean that doom slayer is a title where doom guy is dead ass his actual name, I want to say he was nameless but because fans called him doomguy on such a scale that the company adopted that as his name

Doomguy is the name used for Doom 1 and 2, Doom Marine for Doom 3, Doom Engineer and Doom Medic for 3's DLC, Doom Slayer for the reboot.

Doom Slayer is canonically the same person as the protagonist of Doom 1 and 2 as well.
So, a reverse alias seems reasonable to me.
