Personally, I don't see the appeal.
I think times, where it's meant to come into play,
seems like the worst times to be hurling some spicy
comments at your Significant other.

It's a big turn-off for me. Especially from the dominant partner. Also, German dirty talk is the worst. For some reason they like to use the most unaesthetic words you can find.

…Actually on second thought that’s not exactly true, because being uncomfortable and embarrassed is kind of a turn on for me. (Some of my friends figured this out and occasionally send me lewd messages to embarrass me)

While I don't have a dog in the German Dirty talk,
the whole concept of Dirty Talk just doesn't gel with
me at all, Dood.

That said I am SUPER curious to know the reason why
peeps are into it. Not how people get it but what they
find hot about it, ya know?

Saaaaaaame.

And totally get why the conflict of interest, It sounds like something you'd be into
but, a total turn-off in practice because of that one key factor. And in my case,
while there are some hints of dom and sub in there, Ya still being spicy at the
end of the day and I prefer sweets with my Hot Dogs!

I usually find it cheesy and ends for the most part and tends to make me laugh instead. Bad dialogue can really kill the mood, but if done right it can do wonders. I think the line between cheesy and good dialogue is very thin, and can be quite subjective.

Also, add to the fact that VAs are somewhat limited, so you get many animations that have the same VA and it is very noticeable, now I am not saying the VAs themselves are bad, but rather they tend to suffer from the anime character syndrome (patent pending), in which you will often associate a certain character (or more) to a single VA, and when hearing them you will think of those characters.

An example of this is DIO from JoJo and the Beast Titan from AoT.
