was tagging some chikn nuggit vids that had sody_pop_(chikn_nuggit) in it and he has inner_ear_fluff, but i tagged him with fluffy_ears and i realize i don't know the difference between the two.

fluffy_ears does not have a wiki entry, so are there any special ear traits that the tag can be used for or should i just request alias? (especially when looking at current posts with the fluffy_ears could just be tagged with inner_ear_fluff or ear_tuft)

ear tufts are the bits at the ends of the ear tips that are, well tufts. Arguably could be aliased to a disambiguation tag, arguably a tag that makes sense for ears that are fluffy. Either way it goes a wiki should probably be made for this tag. A comparable situation is tail related tags, i.e. tail_tuft fluffy_tail
I think the tag makes sense to exist, as like, koalas have hella fluffy ears but it's not just the tips or inner ear.

Inner_ear_fluff is, of course, the stuff coming out of the ear. An ear_tuft however, is the stuff coming off the end of the ear. A classic example of ear tufts are the ones that make a Eurasian red squirrel's ears look pointy. Both can exist on an ear at the same time.

No. The ears as a whole are considered fluffy enough even if either of the two (ear tuft or inner ear fluff) is prominent to the character. Maybe it's ear_tuft that must be aliased to outer_ear_fluff.

I think fluffy_ears is perfectly good for when the ears are generally fluffy and more intuitive for that than outer_ear_fluff.
