Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: pseudo_balls -> pseudo-scrotum

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

This will probably get denied because of this sites bizarre emphasis on using slang like pussy and balls randomly. But this makes rational sense.

Scrotum's an ugly word, switch it around.

Although, what determines that they're "Pseudo"? Every single one of the images under ~pseudo_balls ~pseudo_scrotum looks like balls.

They all seem to be on female spotted hyenas, so I assume it’s supposed to be a counterpart to the pseudo-penis. I don’t know enough about spotted hyena anatomy to say whether or not that’s a real feature. The wiki does say that they have false scrotum.

As an aside, I would really like if we switched all uses of balls to scrotum. Not only is it more accurate, but “balls” can be a bit confusing in some cases (ball), and the default plural can cause some grammatically confusing tag names.

Also, balls technically refers to the testicles inside the scrotum, while most people are just tagging the scrotum, since that’s usually all that’s visible.

Spotted hyenas do have "fused labia" that look like balls, but a character having a pseudo-penis doesn't mean their balls are also pseudo.

No (and I don’t know the difference, personally), but I think it would make sense to have a tag for that feature regardless.

Scrotum is an accurate and fun to say word? I dont understand this complaint at all.

Aside from that I think the issue at hand here is that in reality a pseudo_scrotum would be empty and have no balls in it, but look raised.

So tagging it balls anyway not only defeats the purpose but is actively inaccurate.

Other users mistags dont mean the alias is incorrect and again as Ive stated multiple times before, the term balls as our primary tag is kind of nonsense. Especially when there are pieces of art that actually show the testicles and no scrotum. Or pieces of art that have a vagina (such as an internal shot) but no vulva meaning you cant tag it without the dumb "pussy" tag coming up.

The thing is, if the character has a pseudo_penis and the balls are flatly attached, covering the perineum then its "pseudo_scrotum" which is accurate.

If it looks like balls, we tag it as balls. That's how our system works.
Is there any visual difference between labia-fat in the shape of balls and actual balls? Aren't there actual animals with balls up against the body like that instead of in a hanging scrotum?

internal_vaginal in most cases?

What Furring gonk says. If it looks like balls, tag it as balls. If it looks like an empty scrotum, on a female hyena, with a pseudo penis, I'd prefer tagging it as pseudo_scrotum. Although, scrotum is actually a pretty ugly word.
