Topic: How long does it take for posts to be approved?

I have 10 posts that are pending approval, so I'm barely able to upload any of my artwork. The oldest post in pending is from 23 days ago. Is this normal wait time?
Sorry, I'm just new to using the site.

When they get around to it, Dood

As snarky as that sounds, it's the truth.
could take 'em 5 minute, Could take 'em 5 days.
Best to not worry about it too much and find fun
way to pass the time till then, Dood.

Oh, of course!! I was just wondering if 23 days was typical.
Thanks for the response.

It can vary. I once had one of my uploads go for 29 days before a mod noticed and it was approved. Pending posts will autodelete in 30 days, so that was right down to the wire. To be honest, I didn't say anything about it at the time because I was afraid of annoying moderators.

Sitting with the same problem; uploads from several days ago just sitting as pending. My main concern is the rule that if they time out I'm forbidden from re-uploading them.

There's at least 30 days before posts are auto-deleted. That's over 4 weeks, so a few days is nothing. And if it does get auto-deleted, you can message NotMeNotYou about it, who can undelete and approve it if they believe it's acceptable.

if that's the truth... then it looks like ill be attempting to upload this one batch of Halloween pics till April next year...with only being allowed 1 at a time...

yeap, that's what happens when you have like 64 deleted posts and 64 approved posts.

You say it as if its my fault. Ive uploaded plenty sure but I can't change the mind of a mod if they don't like my art. More than a few simply ran out the clock as well. Feels a bit biased ngl.

I'm not sure who else's fault it could possibly be.

Yeah, it does a bit. I've had fair amount of certain art/fan-art of mine be not approved for 20-30 days of posting. Experienced my first delete and it was my first upload too. With it rarely taking long for the art made by others that I have uploaded onto this site.

Firstly I know this topic is pretty old, but it's not many years old and it's the first Google result when searching on the topic of unapproved submissions for this site. So if it's a necro, it's to improve search result information, because to my knowledge my below reply is accurate.

I looked through the things you uploaded and you have a lot of traditional (physical) media and posed 3D models. Both of them have an uphill climb to approval on this site.

I've found even a fairly high-quality (subjectively) piece of scanned art has less of a chance at approval, if not outright deletion when reviewed, than a poor-quality digital piece. So if you post traditional media, make sure you have a very high-quality scan, and that the work itself is of fairly high quality too. Whether or not that's fair isn't the point of my reply; just be aware the bar is significantly higher for approval when it comes to traditional (physical) scanned art. I'm not an artist, but I don't even attempt posting traditional artwork that I don't think is very high quality unless the subject matter is rarer or I'm in "preserve the past" mode for old art from years past.

The same goes for 3D art, but in that case I fully understand. I saw a few comments suggesting some of the things you posted were not rendered well. I would suggest taking that to heart and even if it means taking hours longer, or however it works, dealing with that if you want your uploads to be approved. Because anyone can go out and download 3D models, the bar is much higher for approval. That isn't trivializing your uploads, or the work of others who create artwork using others' models. But it's the reality if you aren't personally the creator of the models.
