Hello everyone!
I haven't made a forum in 5 years, but I thought this worth posting about.
I don't know if this has already been posted here or not but recently I noticed that e621 has way more traffic than FA now.
I remember even in the first year of the pandemic I looked at it and FA was still in the lead but now, god damn, now e621 is way ahead, as it should be.

I wouldn't call a 10% difference as "way ahead." Seems like the only significant difference is that users for e621.net visit more pages than they do on FA, which isn't that surprising to me because of how the two different sites operate. This would inflate traffic numbers.
I don't see a way to see long term trends, but what they do show suggests that this isn't a recent thing either.
Moreover, the traffic for both sites are still going up. That FA is only up only a little bit slower *might* suggest that FA is nearing its saturation point, but that's if you want to make a big deal out of a 3pp difference.

since when was 38.5 10% more than 29? also, ppv is being calculated separately from the total visits, I don't know how that'd inflate anything.

FA still gets over eight times the uploads that e621 does, though. Compare https://furbitron.com/site-fa-stats.html and https://furbitron.com/site-e621-stats.html . Over the past year, FA is averaging about 14,579 new submission IDs per day, while e621 is averaging about 1,662 new submission IDs per day.
Some of that is expected, because FA allows more types of posts than e621 does. YCH ads, Patreon ads, WIP/sketches, photos, stories, and music are all OK on FA but mostly not allowed here.
e621 provides some interesting data on their own at https://e621.net/stats . As far as I know, FA doesn't have a comparable page.
I also wonder a little bit about how similarweb gets its data. Maybe from Cloudflare, since both e621 and FA use it? If it uses cookies or some kind of tracking pixel, it needs to (but probably doesn't) factor in that lots of furries are also techies and therefore install an ad blocker about five milliseconds after they install a new browser. :)

Grade A stat ner right there. I repsect that! Statistics are the best, and I'm noit being sarcastic.
But anyways, yeah FA definetly has more posts despite being an arachic spaggeti of a site, but it seems that the newer generations only use twitter and sometimes e621 to upload their art.
Atleast that's what I obesrved.
My brother is also a furry and he is 8 years younger, he and people he know never used FA, so I'm pretty sure FA will slowly fade out, but that will take some time.
I wish Furry Network got off the ground so we would have an actual modern FA replacement, because browsing twitter for art is nightmare.

If we're going with anecdotal evidence, I consistently get more feedback on FA than I do here.

we are currently growing at a slightly faster rate than they are, but they're also like 3.5x more visitors than we do, so we'd need to keep up the growth for a long time or their popularity would need to fall off hard.
it's weird that this website lets you compare r34.x and e6, and r34.x and e-h, but won't let you compare e6 and e-h and also dosn't let you compare e-h and exh, even thought they're nearly identical websites ran by the same company serving the same purpose

Yeah, sadly there will always be more normies. :D
I remembere the time, when MLP caracters were to most coomed at on that site. Now all of them are from fuckugly adult cartoons. :D
