You could check if some of the posts have been deleted.

i second wolfgang on this! just find a way to easilly access the upvote:any string

also you can only search within your upvote pool and nobody else's, meaning that upvote:dripen_arn upvote:NuttyNutBread upvote:Joe_Budden ect. all mean the same thing as far as the search engine's concerned, so you can type pretty much anything you want after the colon so long as there is something after the colon

Just note that sets have a 10k post limit each, but you can have multiple sets.

I wasn't aware there was a cap.

Occasionally I purge some favorites by adding status:deleted or order:random. It's like shuffling a playlist and then, from those 75 80, cut what I don't feel as much for anymore.

Unfave them all and start over again.

I'd also suggest downloading a portion of your favorites

You can free up 858 favorites slots by going to fav:NuttyNutBread status:deleted, selecting "Unfavorite" in the "Mode" dropdown, and clicking on all thumbnails.
But that's a temporary solution.

Oh wow TIL lol! I just purged around 3000 deleted favorites haha!
I am not at the max yet but I have been trying to find ways to purge my favs. I've just been getting rid of all the Flash favs, child/parent post favs and generally just favoriting less lol. I also put the "voted up" shortcut in my account description so I can just click that instead of my favorites in the future.

my mans here already managed to whittle their faves down from 80,000 to 79,334 as of writing, removing exactly 666 posts from their faves
