Topic: Difference between equine_anus and puffy_anus?

Posted under General

As far as I can see, 'all' equine anuses fit the definition of the current puffy anus/ponut tag. I frequently see them used interchangeably. Really not sure when to use what. Is equine_anus 'only' for equines?

First time making a thread like this, I thought a request alias form might be more appropriate but I got an error when I tried to submit one.

I think the main difference is the coloration, the area around the anus, and how it attaches to the perineum. it might be alright to implicate equine_anus -> puffy_anus, but I'm not sure, I could see the potential for some edge cases.

If drawn anatomically correct or close to, an equine anus will be directly bellow the root of the character's tail, be darker in pigmentation and share that pigment with the genitals, the examples on the equine anus page demonstrate it pretty well. A non-equine character could have an equine anus and genitalia, and an equine character could have a puffy anus, but not an equine anus.

All, or almost all equine anuses are puffy, not all puffy anuses are equine in appearance. You might be seeing a lot of untagged equine anuses under puffy_anus though.
