Topic: Not sure what to do; help with tags?

Posted under General

I am not interested in seeing homosexual male imagery. I have tried without success to block it from getting through my blacklist. I would have gone through more direct, private channels, but I can't find where to contact a mod or admin. I don't want to block all male content, but somehow things like this https://e621.net/posts/3505937?q=order%3Arank Always make it through my blacklist. Is it that this post is missing some tag, or is it my fault for not knowing how to block this sort of content? I try to cover as many tags as possible, and to add tags that would put a picture that slips through my list back on it, but there's always another one. If you look at my blacklist, it is pretty massive at this point, and I honestly don't know what I could add that would block this, yet not also block images I want to see. I'm already forced to leave certain tags in place because although some of the imagery they cover is ok by me, a lot more of it is... unpleasant... to view.

Any help on what I'm doing wrong, or not seeing would be helpful. I'll try checking back in a week or so. An idea might simply be to add a 'homosexual' tag, since using homosexual male on my blacklist would probably cover all the images I'm having problems with. And yes, ,I know the only other thing in the picture is a pair of hands that are being tagged as ambiguous. But the overall feel of the image is homosexual, at least to me. I'm also going to hope no one take offense at me not wanting to view such content, or using the word homosexual.

We can't see your blacklist and we have no idea what you want to see. You're gonna have to communicate more clearly.
Past that, try this on one line: male/ambiguous -disembodied_penis -male_pov

And what, exactly, is homosexual about that image?

Make sure each different concept is blacklisted on a separate line. A common mistake is trying to shove everything into only one line, and then it never works because you're unlikely to see something with all of it.

male/male
male/ambiguous disembodied_hands
male solo
disembodied_penis -female -intersex

a tag found on that demo post that might be good is male_focus

of course if you find any posts that might fit that tag; tag it!

pretty sure they're just referring to any image that has sexy men and only sexy men as "homosexual" (pls correct me if i'm wrong

A much simpler blacklist line that would solve 99% of OP's problems, including the linked image, is male -female.
