Topic: Most mundane, yet most furry thing to ask or say.

Posted under Off Topic

Title, basically.
But really, what would be the most furry thing to say, yet totally mundane to a normie? And I wonder how ethically neutral it may be, so it could be understood by any or most furries?
I also wonder, if anyone still uses "Furry Code" or is just a relic of the past?

I beg my pardon for any grammatical, punctual or semantic mistakes, as I am not a native speaker.
I am, also, a new lurker here, so feel free to sent me to "lurk more"~

"Do you like zootopia?"

Maybe, but I guess it could be too mundane. Someone may like it even without being one.
But as a topic it may be plausible.

I typically don't encounter much crossover been my "furry life" and my "real life," so it's difficult for me to come up with a response to this.

Maybe a good TEST to determine if someone is a furry, dweeb, or normie would be asking "what does the fox say"?

  • The furry answers would be "yip", "yiff", or "please fill my tailhole", lol
  • The dweeb answer is コンコン (kon kon).
  • The normie answer is Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding

This is a totally fool-proof test that would totally not backfire.

That's the reason I'm asking you, my fellow e6 dwellers.

What does screaming in the asker's ear mean?

It means you actually know what a fox sounds like.

I would deem this behavior as furry, no matter if it turns out to be normie :D

"What was your first cartoon crush?"
They would probably say one of the many human cartoon moms or something while my reply will be "Minerva Mink"

asking "yo can i look after your dog while you're on vacation?" when the dog owner your asking isn't planning on going anywhere

or not bringing their dog with them if they do

or even knows who you are

I'm adding that to my pool. That is on par with "zootopia" one, if not better.

And since it seems that media questions work out quite nice, I wonder if video games may fit. Like asking about some niche SFW indie games with anthros in it and seeing his answer/reaction.

"whats your opinion on monosodium glutamate?"
That might be a bit to on the nose thou.

More like... Too vague. I mean, i'm pretty sure only us furries and chemists would care for the scientific formula of MSG. and that crossover of demographics has to be ultra rare.

The food industry seems to think people care. I've seen soy sauce packets from a Chinese place boast "No MSG". Of course, the food you're putting it on is probably loaded with MSG, and it's not clear that MSG is even bad for you to begin with...

There was a rumor once upon a time that MSG lead to migraines. As far as I know, that's been debunked.

adam ragusea made a very good video on msg: neither terribly dangerous nor perfectly fine (which imho that title describes both this site and the furry community as a whole rather well)

plus e numbers are only really a thing in europe (the "e" literally stand for "europe" for goodness sakes) so that's a trifecta of niece demographic

I can think of a few from the day, but they might also be "too mundane":

"Oh Bugs is in drag this episode."

"Why are there more vampire movies than werewolf movies?" (The overly simplified answer: vampires are cheaper.)

"Hey, could you turn it? Chip n' Dales Rescue Rangers is on." (circa early 00's, past their peak popularity especially.)

"Wait, who is she-" "Cleo Cattilac." (Anybody who knows Cleo Cattillac by name is probably some kind of furry. Otherwise she's just "Heathcliff's girlfriend")

"No, Nermal is a boy. Trust me, I checked."

"So is it weird that Minnie is topless?" (Not the furry part.) "Well Mickey is too, so not that weird." If she says this, she's furry. I promise you.

*Goes on and on about how important Fritz the Cat is.*

"So, what do we call those tiger dancers?" (The non-furry response) "What tiger dancers?"

  • Tries to think of any convoluted reason to get their anthro character in a roleplay campaign. Even if it's a hard sci-fi interpretation of WW2. * "Nonono, she's an alien!" "But there aren't any aliens in this campaign!"
  • Focuses waaay more on the wolf part of Jacob Black than the human part, and expresses annoyance that he has no "anthro mode" * (Not necessarily in those exact words, but both elements have to be present.)

"Would it be weird if I wore a tail?" (Is that still a thing? I haven't seen it in a while.)

*Knows who SonicFox is without following gaming tournies.*

"I just think he's neat." *In response to why she's still maining Lucario in 2019*

... I can do more.

Edit: minor typos.
Edit2: more, minor typos. (I promise I'm taking them out, not putting them in.)

It is the one. You have won. Go overkill.
Really, most of these are perfect. Your contribution in this thread is going to be remembered.

UPD: Fixed a typo, and added stuff

Then it was worth it. :3

"Man, the captain in Treasure Planet is hot."

Nice. Also "I really like her voice, and she's so sophisticated." (Doesn't bring up she's basically a cat as if they don't notice.)

Not much of a thing that is said, but more of a thing some furries do. Following accounts on twitter that post a picture of an animal hourly/daily/whatever.
Personally, I follow an account that posts Lynxes. I just love them.

A normal person would look at it and say "Ooh, so you like wildlife?" But a furry would totally smell something's going on. It's fun to see!
