Topic: So it looks like porn is on the way out at Reddit as well

The thread mainly covers the experiences of and implications for human sex workers, but the GARM guidelines being blamed for all this explicitly include "display of genitals, real or animated" as a reason to mass-nuke both subs and users. And Twitter is signed up to the same censorship regime, which means people's suspicions about the recent changes there are likely confirmed.

There will soon be not a single large social media site where sex is legal.

I guess Morality in Media is back on the rebound after being humiliated over and over... That old joke about electricity from electrons, and morality from what comes to mind. Flat Earthers and Faked Moon Landing conspiracy theories abound too, but I don't think (I hope not) that they can convince nearly as many people as the MiMNCSE has. Flat Mirth: A 200yo joke

Some historical citations/references:

Bad science where if hypothesis doesn't match the reality, they'll just make the reality match the hypothesis?

They are not only against porn, they are also going against so called "disinformation", and that probably means anything they disagree with or stands in their way, like studies that find them to be wrong.

Ironically, I blame their parents for such naughty (mis)behavior. Yeah, it's basically redlining for people they don't like. Also, LOL@"our digital safety!"

Granted, this IS from an industry magazine that has obvious bias. But it's hard to dispute their accusations.

Use a better website.

Yeah, but if ad networks, payment services and other things kneecap attempts...

It worked so well for Tumblr, so why not step in their footsteps...

On the contrary, the porn removal didn't get rid of all of it on Tumblr and if anything there are even MORE porn bots than before. Not to mention NSFW blogs are still a thing there despite the reports to get them off.
