You can request a tag lock if there's a tagging war (i.e. a tag keeps getting added and removed because of a disagreement). However, aside from character names or lore tags, you don't get to specify which tags are valid for the post; the site works on a TWYS policy, which means a tag is used if the thing appears to be in the image. If people can't agree as to whether a tag applies, you can report the post to have a moderator make a decision, who can lock a tag on or off the post.

only if the tags that are locked would be valid under TWYS; if you're trying to stop valid tags or force invalid tags on a post than no. also tag locks usually only go through to settle a tag war.

Is this related to blacklist tags appearing on posts and not wanting them on there?
