A spoiler is also the thing on the back of some cars. If nothing else, it would need to be disambiguated.

I don't think a tag for a media spoiler is a good idea though, since different people have different thresholds for what constitutes a spoiler. Sure you could say leaked content is a spoiler, but what about official pre-release info, like trailers? Some people do consider that stuff to be a spoiler because they want to go into it as blind as possible. Sometimes official pre-release information contains legitimate plot-twists and surprises that were meant to be experienced by playing or watching, but the marketing department thought it'd be good to show everyone ahead of time.

Some things also remain spoilers even after the official release since not everyone will have had a chance to see it for themselves, but different people have different time limits on different kinds of info. And you get into situations where old media is remade, so despite old fans knowing things about the game (or movie or comic or ...) and not consider something a spoiler anymore, new fans may not be aware and will experience it for the first time with the remake, so things that were spoilers became not a spoiler over time, then became a spoiler again with a remake or re-release.

Technically speaking, leaked content isn't even supposed to be posted:

Showing unreleased content from anyone that has been discovered through unauthorized means

As these leaked pokemon haven't been publicly shown and aren't part of any official media that has been officially released yet, it's unreleased content and wasn't authorized for the public to see and make fan art of yet.

The aerodynamic device of cars ... didn't know it was called that.

In my opinion, That device should go under spoiler_(car). And the spoiler contents should remain in spoiler.

Different people have different thresholds, indeed.
It's even possible some people won't see the official pre-release info, yet they may say it's a spoiler.

And busy people might be slow to play the game. The "time limit" you are talking about depends on each person.

People say different things.
In this case ... How about using the very worst scenario to have a tagging threshold?
Posting Unreleased Content rule , official pre-release , the game release date -- those are appropriate in my opinion.

That's what the rule says, But some people really don't follow them despite being prohibited. (( Some action or punishment will be taken, though ... ))
Since we have really experienced it already, Making this implication would be no longer too much ... I believe so :|

The car thing should go under spoiler_(car), but people still use the spoiler tag for it not realizing there's a separate tag, resulting in the tag being on posts for cars and posts that have media spoilers, making it ambiguous about what it's referring to. Generally that means spoiler should be disambiguated (aliased to spoiler_(disambiguation) which is made an Invalid tag) so people are made aware of the ambiguity, and the spoiler_(disambiguation) wiki would suggest the proper tag to use based on what the tagger intended.

I'm not sure what you mean by "very worst scenario". Do you mean the strictest definition, any info anyone might object to seeing at any time before they see it for themselves (which would include basically everything), or the loosest definition (basically just unofficial leaks, excluding all official pre-release info)? In the latter case, one option would be to properly enforce the unreleased content rule and we wouldn't need a tag. Alternatively make the tag something like leaked_content to distinguish it from what others may consider "spoilers" (some pre-release info or recently released content); this would also make it clearer that the tag should be removed immediately after the official release, so people don't sit there questioning if enough time has passed to remove the "spoiler" indicator.

Though this also brings to mind staggered releases. For example, if a game releases early in some countries and later in other countries? Would it no longer be a leak once it's released in any country (regardless of people in other countries not having it available yet)? Or games that are only released in one country, that may or may not get an international release later. Or information that is made publicly available in one region, but not others (some official trailers are different in different regions, and may show certain info only to that region before release).

So, Both tags' meanings must be distinguished. In that case, for example, The tag for spoiler contents too should have a suffix to make sense. (( As my own proper ... spoiler_(contents)? ))
Is this what they should be?

Oops, sorry.
My words "the very worst scenario" meant "spoilers for those who are gathering info as fast as they can legally, without through any unauthorized ways".

Once either "official pre-release info" or "game releases in any country" has been done, the earlier of them will be the threshold.
The spoiler will no longer be "spoiler" or leaked content at that point and the tag should be removed immediately.

In my own opinion, "official pre-release info" should be included when enforcing the unreleased content rule, too.

I agree with your opinion to make leaked_content. That's an exact phrase.
Because everything before the threshold could be leaked content.

... The fact is still leaked content was discovered through unauthorized means so it should be regarded as a spoiler.
But, I'm beginning to think making imply leaked_pokemon , leaked_contents -> spoiler is useless, now that I know the threshold of spoiler cannot be determined.

Do you think I'd be better reject this imply through here , and make a new one for leaked_pokemon -> leaked_contents
