I posted one of my arts last night, and it just got flagged for being a trace, even know nothing about the picture has been directly traced from the original sketch. I only used the original as an inspiration for making a new picture, it is made totally by hand from me. I'm getting some comments about it, and I need to know what to do to file for an appeal. Because the flag is totally unjustified.

Whoever reviews the flag will read the comments and take that into account, before deciding whether to delete it or remove the flag.

They'll read the comments? Ok, that at least gives me a bit of hope. Like, my picture is not a trace, it's 100% by hand and only using the original as inspiration. You can even see it for yourself.

The Admin/Janitor will read the comments, not just look at the fact it's flagged. All you have to do is leave a comment, which you already took care of. Next time to avoid confusion, maybe mention the original in the description if you're referencing a particular picture so closely.

Oh yep, I left the comments, just hope that they'll help my case. And I just added the referenced pic in the description.

No, your Post Limit went to zero because you have too many pending posts. There's a calculation on your profile:

10 + (2 / 10) - (0 / 4) - 10 = 0

starts at 10
gain 1 for every 10 approved posts
lose 1 for every 4 deleted posts
lose 1 temporarily for every pending post

....what? *sighs* OK, just gotta get a certain number of likes I suppose. It'll take a while I'm guessing. But, how long do I have to wait for the pending pics to be approved?

It doesn't have to do with a number of likes, it's just, e621 operates on a system where all posts must be manually approved before being fully uploaded to the site. This is independent of likes or dislikes. Content must meet certain competency and relevancy standards to be approved.

Since it's a manual process, there's no set time for it to happen. Just be patient.

It has nothing to do with the number of likes.
Read Lance's post again. Carefully this time.

Ohh ok, I see now. Sorry about that, just didn't understand at first. I'll wait for sure, got to celebrate the holidays with the family for a few. So yea, don't worry, I gotcha Lol

It can very wildly, From a few minuets, to a maximum of 30 days. If your lucky and you get a mods attention right away, and the post is obviously good enough, they will just approve it right then and there. (Or reject it if it clearly fails to meet e621's guidelines) But If no one see it, or the quality is on the fence, you may have to wait for it to get approved. If no one approves it within 30 days, then a bot will automatically delete it.

Just to put some of this into perspective. there are 33 users with rank Janitor or higher. There are currently about 4000 post pending approval. The median waiting time is about 2 days, With about 2000 post uploaded daily.
