Topic: How do YOU keep track of the artists that you like?

Posted under General

Do you at all? Do you list them somewhere or use a program to follow them? What do YOU do?

Personally, I use Re621 to follow them.

I keep a database in Excel. Currently it contains more than 100 artists. I do not "follow" them... just record if ever they have done something that I really liked. But I can always return and see if they have done something new.

Normally I don't like "all" what an artist do. Usually is a limited number of the works of a particular artist that I really like.

I follow a small number of artists on Twitter and Inkbunny but that's more because I upload. They're like "designated marks", mainly from Japan.

Otherwise my idea of "following" an artist is favoriting a lot of their work. Sometimes when looking through them I check the artist and someone uploaded something new from them 4 days ago.

i made a furaffinity account specifically to follow artists i found on here (before finding out about Re621, of course)

something i feel like i need to be better about is to keep track of all the comics i read and liked on here, i made a set of comic covers and starting pages of them, but i barely even think about sets ever so i think i should find a better way

I use my browser's bookmarks

Here or FA/Inkbunny/various standard sites.

If their presence is twitter then I ignore them except what comes up here. Because twitter is absolute ass for an art platform

Follow them wherever they are. Preferably somewhere that's an actual art site.

I'm pretty passive when it comes to finding content on the internet. I let it all come to me. Which isn't very conducive to actually keeping an eye on things I like. I'd like to change that eventually.
