Topic: Who do i talk to to lift a neutral record from my account?

Posted under General

A day ago i was put a neutral record on my account for removing valid tags from a post i had never seen or visited, much less edited. Apparently someone has accessed my account and began editing random posts incorrectly and my account got the record for it.
I apologize for not having a strong enough password and i apologize for the moron that hacked my account, i will attempt to undo the damage and restore the deleted tags, and i think i read that a neutral record is temporary and not a permanent step down into "u-effed-up-get-banished hell" but i'd like to get it lifted up. Again sorry for using the same sh*t password since 2010, have a great day.

Your record was made by furrypickle so they'd probably be the one you need to contact about it, though I'm not sure anything generally gets done about it apart from getting a further explanation what you did wrong. Otherwise you can wait 6 months and ask any admin to decay the record.

...but now you're removing 3d_(artwork) and other tags from valid posts as of 19 minutes ago.

What? I'm searching in the changes to posts made by my account recently and i can't find that, can you add a link so i can see it??

Securing your account is your responsibility.
It is on you to make sure that nobody else accesses it.

As such, the consequences of this are no different than if you vandalized the tags yourself.
You received a neutral record – that is just a note letting you know that what you did was incorrect.
It goes like this: neutral record -> negative record -> temporary ban -> permanent ban.
So, don't worry too much about it. It does not affect your account in any way.

Assuming that there are no further infractions of this kind, it can be removed in 6 months.
That is not an automatic process, however. You will need to contact an admin, who will review your activity.
I would be more than happy to help you with that when the time comes. Furrypickle, the admin who gave you that record, as well as most people on this list can help you out too.

Faucet is right, those changes are incorrect. You should stop doing that.

I don't know what's going on, i logged it less than half an hour ago and almost immediately made this post, 15 minutes ago. I am not making these changes.

I understand and take full responsibility for these consecuences

I have reviewed your tagging history.
Some changes are fairly random – just removing some unrelated tags.
For today's changes, however, it appears that you are reverting the tag changes you made some time ago – ranging from a few days to about a month.

The IP address for those changes is consistent with your normal one. That's for both today and yesterday.
So, the chances of someone else accessing your account are low, unless they literally accessed it from your own device.

Are you using any third party tools or apps, by any chance?

Oooooh i think i know what happened, when i saw i was being reported for incorrectly tagging posts, i entered the source which took me to the general changes page my account has made, i thought it was only showing me the invalid changes my account has done and selected all and pressed undo all selected, i thought i had only edited and changed the ones that were wrongly edited by the guy that hacked me and accidentally cancelled all of the valid edits i had done before the hack.
I am deeply sorry and will do everything i can to revert these changes.

By the way, have you tried checking the IP of the changes for which my account got a neutral record and see if they match with the others?

Well, no harm done.
It's all back in order.

Yes, they did.
They also matched tag changes and comments on your previous account going back about 8 months.

Reds to neutral is automatic, it IS a bit odd that neutrals don't just fall off after 6 months

*shrug*

Negative to neutral is not an automatic process either.

Kinda weird that all this guy did with my account was edit posts incorrectly for like an hour, it wasn't even on well known posts or in mass to like, get me banned or anything, it was super targeted on certain artists and characters, or things like removing "brown_backround" and then adding it again lmao what a loser

Are you sure it wasn't you who made these edits while drunk or stoned or both?
We've all done things we don't remember doing...

Hey, I'd like my neutral reputation removed too even if I don't know what it does. I said my favorite artists art is disgusting (because it's supposed to be) and you changed my status. It's a compliment and I liked the art.

Yeah lol, some of the images they edited were even on my blacklist, which i never, ever deactivate because i'm really picky. And also most of the images he edited weren't even porn, which is the only thing i come here for, not for random scribbles of original characters xddd

That is correct. Letting everyone know how much something disgusts you is unnecessary.
You can request for the record to be removed in 6 months, assuming that there are no further infractions of this kind.
