so i noticed this like a day or two that suddenly webm videos with audio are playing but with no sound. this is first time this happens to me. but when i right-click to open video in a tab, it's plays with audio fine. also to note, it happens on derpibooru too. i don't know if this might be my browser or what, i use microsoft edge. i test it out on mobile, i use the edge app and the videos play fine with audio.

Make sure it's not muted or the volume turned down. The speaker icon on the bottom right of the video can be used to mute and unmute the video, and turn the volume up and down (it may only appear when hovering the mouse over the video).

Another way to check: find a webm here on e621 and click the "Download" button right under the video. That will give you a webm file in your Downloads directory - it will have a long name made of numbers and some letters, like 0ddf00dbadc0ffeedeadbeefce1704cafebabe.webm . Try playing back that file on your PC with a media-player program, like Windows Media Player, VLC, or whatever you have installed. If it plays with sound that way, then it's not e621.

i try the link video, and it plays normally with sound. i download a webm video on e621 and my windows media player plays the video normally with sound too.look like i'm only having this weird no audio when videos plays problem on e621 and derpibooru, i test out other image board site like sankakucomplex and atfbooru and the webm videos are working fine with sound on there.

Browsers nowdays have features which disable extremely annoying behavior from websites, this includes autoplaying videos with sounds on. When this protection is triggered, all material from that website domain is muted until you unmute that domain. Opening files is differend matter as opening video file only, you will most likely want to watch it if it has sounds.
At least in chrome, right click on the tab and "unmute site".

Don't waste your time. I had issues with webms on this site and the janitors pretty much told me to go fuck myself. Don't listen to their bullshit it's 100% a site issue

The janitors, of course, did not tell you that, but given you spent that entire thread refusing to listen to a word anyone was telling you, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
