Opera GX has a feature that limits CPU and RAM usage, but it's not available on linux.

I did once use cgroups to limit the RAM of an application, but these days I just buy more RAM if I'm ever running low.

I did it using Arch but I guess there's probably other tutorials somewhere for other distros.

Maybe there's browser extensions for Firefox/Chromium that can just do it as well?
