Just had two posts taken down cus the artist is apparently a CDNP. Does the fact that I paid for them to be commissioned matter at all, or do I still need permission from them directly? I just messaged them about it on ink bunny and want to know what to do next. I’m fairly certain I will get permission. (If not, no big deal, I won’t post them here.) should. Screenshot the permission message and have it ready to show a moderator or something? I’m new to actually uploading stuff here and have been adding my own works and commissions so I don’t wanna get in trouble for anything

Technically it depends, most of them are, artists only, some allow commissioners. Some allowed another person/a handful of other peopke to post. It's a case by case basis.

if you got permission then contact the artist to change the CDNP
or when posting provide some sort of proof for staff that you have been indeed given permission to post

but I would go after the first option rather than the last one

If you have explicit permission from the artist to upload those images to e621, please send proof of that to me.
A screenshot of a conversation with them works.

Alternatively, since Turboranger is on e621, they can also DM me themselves.
