Topic: Why is there a stigma around big footed folks?

Posted under Off Topic

I havent seenn it irl, but that shows up frequently on tv.

There is an episode of Full House from season 8 that has the girl being made fun of for having big feet. After checking on google its episode 15.

In the Simpsons, the clown acolyte of Krusty who I dont remember the name of didnt like having big feet because of perception from others.

And finally I see folks on internet saying they hate big feet, not only the fetishization of it, but in general.

Oh hey, something I can actually weigh in on usefully. Dancer here, some of it is from the general perception of clumsiness, rightfully or otherwise. The other factors are larger shoes take up more space and track in more dirt, and dependant on how dramatic the size is, it can make people look quite awkward, same as any other oversized body part. It's also something you don't generally notice, but once you do, you can't unsee it. Combine all that with centuries of "you know what they say about men with big feet"-type jokes, and you've got a general mix for it being a commonly-dislike attribute.

An interesting thing is that for running, it makes you much more agile, but not many polearm users nowadays... XD

I think I know one reason. On the internet at least.

Most people get "Kingdom Hearts" flashbacks.
