I'm bored. What do you have in your quick / frequent tags?

I pretty much always tag Body_Control when I see it, and not much else. It's a highly under-utilized concept imo, to the point where nobody else really tags it.

I separated them by line to make it a little easier to update this list. I have a ton more but only recently bothered storing them in advanced settings. Some are aliased but still work. So I can have my cake and eat it too with my personal list. ^_^

I was going to start a thread asking for examples so people could share and use each other's common tags, but it already was posted here.

No hard list yet. I'll always tag basic stuff if I notice it's missing like gender, genitals, body types, size relations (size_difference/large_penetration), and sex positions. Beyond that, I like focusing on the most appealing/standout aspects of a post and tagging them as best I can - often that means finding & using relatively niche tags. If I can't find a tag that quite fits, I'll make a set and add the post to it, then turn the set into a proper tag once I have 10+ posts in it. That way, those really unique concepts that I come across will eventually get appropriate tags and become searchable rather than being lost.

Sometimes these new tags end up turning into a catalogue project where I scour related posts to get a more comprehensive list of relevant posts like I did with breasts_and_teats, frontal_taur_genitals, and multiple_cock_rings. Other times it felt like there were too many posts to search through to get a thorough list, as was the case with nipple_band and knot_prodding.

There isn't a way to see a list of all the tags I've added in descending order of quantity, is there? The best I've managed is comparing individual tags by manually entering them one at a time and scrolling to the bottom to check how many pages of changes included each.

For stuff like sex positions, I really, really wish I could just put a subcategory for positions, and have it let me pull up a longer list with examples so I an just save having to open the Wiki on the really odd/rare ones.

You can process your tag history. It's just a text file which can be parsed and then counted. Or am I misreading it and you mean show the most-used ones most often?

I think my personal favorite obscure tag is "bad_parenting".

I guess I don't know how to access the text file. I've just gone through Account -> Profile -> Post Changes, and then searched for specific added tags.

Well, HTML is just marked-up text, but yeah. You can just copy and paste the text selection for a more practical way. I believe some office programs will let you even import it into a spreadsheet for convenience. I'll have to work a method that is easier to demonstrate, and post it here. You might be able to just grab a JSON file with all the metadata.

OK, trying to make a method. Here's notes:
1) <div class="pv-tags pv-content"> is at the beginning of any div with tags.
2) You can iterate through all pages using the contents of <li class="numbered-page"> at the bottom of the list.
3) The + at beginning of tags can be removed after sorting and deduping the combined results of all those pages. You could actually take advantage of it to make the regular expression easy.
4) I am not writing an Excel/Calc importer for that HTML to get all the pretty formatting. <--- It would be mostly useless tangent as we just need tags.
5) Once you get a bunch of them, you get this list like this example from a single post:

You only want the +tags, so you filter for 'words' (symbols is better term?) starting with a plus sign('+').

6) If you want to be fancy, you can do stuff like list how often a tag is used and then sort by that to get the ones most useful to you. You can also categorize them like I did manually on my list. This is probably a separate project to apply the site's categories or invent your own like say for all the penetration tags. You could filter to only show tags used at least 50 times, and sort them by last used. Once you have the ability to export a list, you can just process it any way you like.
7) I have not written any of this, yet. This is just notes! It would probably make a great userscript.
8) Read the bot guidelines so you're sure to not get banned/503'd when making/using such things. You might be surprised to learn what is the most taxing to a database server and what methods are the least/most efficient. Just because it's using the browser, doesn't mean it's not botlike in behavior. It doesn't have to be a 3rd-party client ala Android app Wolfy's Stash to qualify, AFAIK.

My dumb way of doing this manually is to just copy and paste the part from "CHANGES" to bottom of page (first arrow and 1 above 'Running e621'), and then ignore the cruft that isn't a keyword starting with '+' using something like find/grep commands on a text file I copied it into. I mean it works, but it's ugly and tedious. XD What might actually be more useful is a userscript that only makes this list for the current page in that list, and that way you can just get the ones you used say, in the last week. No iterating over the pages, no automated requests, no risk of annoying administration!

Hmm, an update/bump since it's been 4 months and I figure a lot of tags have changed for most people, myself included. I separate each section from the others by having an empty line between lines with related tags. This way I can easily just cut and paste them to change the order to whatever's convenient for current tagging project.
