Topic: Need to combine "rebreather" and "rebreather bags"

Posted under General

Not sure how to go about requesting a mod to do it, but I noticed while browsing they are the same and thus need to be one entity. I'd think "rebreather bag" should be the parent tag since it is more specific to the idea.

Just go up to the top of this page and click "Request alias" (or "Request BUR" if you want to add it to this thread, by putting 38366 in the "Forum topic" box). Fill out the resulting page, remembering the reason, and you'll be able to request for rebreather to get aliased to rebreather bags.

A rebreather and a rebreather bag are two different things, and should not be aliased together. There are images with examples of both here.

Briefly, a rebreather is for underwater diving - it's similar to SCUBA gear, but works differently. If somebody is swimming underwater, and has a back pack or chest pack with two big hoses to a mask on their face, and does not obviously have an air tank, that's most likely a rebreather.

There is another type that I think is coming from a movie or series, but I'm not sure which one. That kind looks like a small mouthpiece with short "wings" extending from it on each side. It is used the same way - so critters can dive underwater without a big air tank.

A rebreather bag is for breath play. If somebody is in a kink scene - often bondage or rubber, but neither are required - and they have a big rubber bag connected by a single hose to a mask over their face, that's most likely a rebreather bag.

A lot of the images here tagged rebreather should be tagged rebreather_bag instead - they are kink scenes instead of diving scenes. I'm pretty sure I fixed some of them a couple of months ago, but more have cropped up.

There might be some scope to alias the tags to make them more obvious to taggers - maybe something like rebreather_bag -> rebreather_(breath_play) and rebreather -> rebreather_(diving). The two things shouldn't be aliased together, though.

Edited Wiki to warn of this. Thanks! Oh wait, beat me to it. :cheek:
