Topic: English is not my specialty. Gynomorph vs Gyandromorph vs Intersex

Posted under General

Hello. My primary language is Russian and Russian-language articles on these subjects are few and far between. S I try to understand this in English.

Google has not been helpful. Can someone well versed in hermaphroditism explain the difference between these different things?

In the context of this site.

  • Gynomorph would mean 'female body' with a 'penis'
  • Intersex is the umbrella term for all sexes excluding characters with exclusively male/female features.
  • Gynandromorph doesn't exist. If you're referring to Andromorph then it's the reverse of Gynomorph 'male body' with a 'pussy'. If not, my best guess would simply be a herm. (Be noted: e6 makes the distinction of herms and male herms. Where herms are the one with the 'female body')

if I'm not mistaken, gynomorph and andromorph (or at least the exact definitions we use) were more or less created by e621 in an effort to create tag names that had a more neutral connotation than dickgirl and cuntboy which were seen as degrading, objectifying, and/or offense.

the words have spread outwards to the larger furry community somewhat, but I don't think you'll see them used elsewhere very often.

Difference Between says: "What is the Difference Between Gynandromorph and Hermaphrodite? Gynandromorph is an animal that's half male and half female when splitting at the midline. Meanwhile, a hermaphrodite is an animal that appears as male or female but has both male and female reproductive organs." - Dec 30, 2019
