How old were you when furryness became sexual for you?
Did regular cartoons get you interested or was it only once you saw the more erotic and sexual content that it clicked for you?

I've been a furry for a long time but wasn't really into the sexual side until meeting my partner. He was the opposite, into the sexual side but not really interested in the nonsexual side. We both ended up introducing each other to the other sides :)

As soon I got along with furry porn, I was leaning more into a sexual side of the furry fandom, as being a human getting called a furry fucker is a badge of honor lmao

I grew up watching cartoons with furry characters in them. When I was in preschool, I remember my mom used to put Pink Panther cartoons on the tv (first "furry" show that I ever watched). Later in elementary school I used to watch stuff like Scaredy Squirrel, Kung Fu Panda, Happy Tree Friends, The Looney Tunes Show, Tom and Jerry etc. That kind of stuff. It started off entirely innocent and I loved watching that kind of stuff since I liked the cute art styles. Anyway, middle school comes at some point and I go through puberty just like everyone else. Later in life I somehow came across some comics made by an artist called Karno, which aren't exactly family friendly and I went down the rabbit hole after that.

Around 09-11 I was basically already out of puberty, but my tastes were slowly changing. I began to like cuteness more.
I also got into Pokémon 34 through sites like this in 09, but didn't care for much else that it had for a long time.

The conversion wasn't completed until around easter 2012
I was having sleeping problems. This really strange sensation of comfort hit me when I held this bunny plushie at the store. I hadn't even held a plushie since the 90s. So I bought it as a sleeping companion and found out quickly just how much I liked those warm fuzzies, in the emotional and physical sense. It just felt natural

I think i was like 13 when i started thinking of Anthro characters sexually. Now thinking back on it WTF.
It only really clicked once i saw pornographic flash games of furry characters. It was on some flash game site. i can't remember its name.
I found out there is porn of MLP and that i liked it.

Oh, I don't remember exactly. For sure artsyle and some gory things I've seen in some cartoons (greetings to the creators of bread winners and their legendary butt jokes) made me attracted not only to furries but to rule34 in general. And as I am autistic and I especially liked a few moments in these fairy tales, it somehow went strong and started. I've known the term furry for a few years, I don't remember where I met it and I don't regret it because it's quite... an interesting and pleasant feeling to cuddle up to some furry. I would love to be able to cuddle up to such a furry one, like a lopunny. :)

So it is really quite early that kids get into it, and eventually it turns erotic or sexual.
It wasnt until much later for me actually. I do wonder if it comes more natural for girls though, as I think they sometimes have a more mhmm intimate relationships with their various teddies :)

But does it have to be sexual? Fur is also just nice and warm.

I like cuddles. It doesn't necessarily have to be sexual.

I must have been about 13, we had rural dial up internet so if I wanted to look at women I usually had to boot up a video game in my room. I had looked at the Khajiits from TES Morrowind on an old Xbox before since they were naked compared to other characters, but it started resonating when I was playing SSBB and I saw the Krystal trophy and sticker. Getting my own laptop with better internet later I slowly realized it was more than an "any port in a storm" situation. 🤣

I grew up with plenty of media that had anthropomorphized characters in them and during that time I didn’t think anything of it. Once I got onto the internet, during my adolescence, I saw plenty of art depicting those characters doing nsfw activities. That’s when I really would consider myself to become a furry lol

I turned to the NSFW for good after overhearing a former chat friend shit talk me at a furry convention, which also ended my con going experience. I did go to one more con after but i just couldent stay and went back home ther next day.

Since then i've been all about the NSFW side of the furry fandom, and even started to hate SFW.
