Topic: Interesting UI for a 'rule34' booru

Posted under Off Topic

https://rule34.dev/ Was looking up an image source in Yandex based on MD5, and found that.
More specifically, the search interface was what I found unique. https://rule34.dev/e621/0/red_hair+score:%3E50 As an example.

What is the term for this? Besides you know, slooooooooowly scrolling. Looks a bit heavy on the resources side. XD
I could be snarky and call it unresponsive design but I suspect it could be sped up greatly if they tried.

The site-internal red "loading" bar at the very top, and the way that clicking one one of the gallery images pops up an overlay, I'd say maybe Single Page crApp?

It hides behind Crimeflare, so it's hard to tell much else about the hosting. Looks like the domain was first registered 2022-05-31, through Google.

This script is linked near the top, and references CloudflareApps a lot, so maybe it's some kind of site-builder tool from Crimeflare. Interestingly, uBlock Origin blocks that script.

With an empty cache, the front page takes 5.1 seconds to load, for me. uBlock origin disallows another first-party Javascript (s.js), plus scripts at realsrv.com and highrevenuegate.com .

Oh, I forgot to mention I was blocking most resources like scripts. Yeah, I wonder how awful it is to scroll on an Atom laptop with no uBO/Matrix. XD
Profiler tools are going to scream bloody murder at the load time.
