Topic: any way to blacklist official characters + OCs together?

Posted under General

I am aware of fan_character, already partially blacklisted it, but as it says in the description of such, "Wholly original characters... ...should NOT be tagged as fan_character". I don't want to entirely block images of original characters, or fan characters, rather only those that also involve unassociated official characters, basically this in the blacklist:
copytags:>0 "original_character"
copytags:>1 fan_character
(I know the latter would catch some in the crossfire, oh well)
As I said, I don't want to completely blacklist such, as 90% of e6 would go poof, but it really just takes me out of it to see characters I know from media I love getting railed by random OCs.
going through old forum posts is seems like there was some sort of OC tag before. Am I missing something, or is there no way to do this?

There is no way to blacklist this particular situation, and I don't think there will be.

Never mind, then. Not sure how I missed that one, other than it being very undertagged.

Suprisingly so ain't it? I mean, if people actually used it, that tag should rightfully be over the 20k mark by now!
Yet another tag that needs someone to go on a CRUSADE with.

I imagine somebody's counter-untagging it if I had to guess, bit like there was the whole kerfuffle over if "OC/Original Character/Fan Character" tags should even exist.

hmmmmmm.....well obviously, imo, if it's a original character EXISTING within the worldspace of an existing property...it's not an OG-Character...it's a fan character.
And I thought we already had this thing where we don't tag "fan_character" if they're not existing within said worldspace.

So how can there be a kerfuffle, is that concept actually hard for people to get?

I think "existing in the worldspace of" is a bit too flexible. it should be strongly based off the species/design of a particular copyright to be a fan character.

There are still regularly tagging issues with Hakya111(or however many ones their name has) with their zootopia animations because said world is indistinguishable from the real world.
