Why don't you private message them about their age and ask them to be honest.
Dude, there's billions of adults who don't act their age and have kid-like mannerisms.

So you should just be blunt and honest with them. If they say No, there's your answer.

But if you're still not sure, try and catch them slipping? Bait them? that's probably too much IQ to actually pull off though.

Don't bother. a person's manerism isn't enough evidence to suspect them for being a minor.

I honestly never understood shortening "to" to "2" or "for" to "4" in a sentence. like, maybe I could understand if you were texting on a 3x4 keypad and for some reason you used Abc rather than T9, but people would do it on MMOs and stuff. on a full keyboard it's such a minimal amount of fewer keystrokes, and you have to reach up to the number key row which messes with the flow of typing.

If it's on a platform with a short character limit (like Twitter) then it can be understandable to squeeze a bit more like that, if there is none or the limit is generous that is not much reason...
