I'd be down but also >reddit

To elaborate more (since meme arrows don't say much), they changed their API pricing structure which made unofficial clients completely financially unfeasible. They also used heavy handed tactics against mods who locked down subs in protest. I keep hoping it'll be their Digg moment but not much seems to be changing.

I assumed that OP knew about this. I use reddit as a tool for finding information, but no platformer is a "main" platform because I find that no platform has a perfect community for me anyways.

I've never given reddit a dime, and i dont plan on doing so given the current state of the ceo's decision to effectively kneecap automated moderation tools and accessibility provided by third party apps. But still I dont mind painting a few silly pixels on a canvas to express my pride in being a pervert.

OP likely does, but everyone dropping by the thread might not. And yeah, I dislike how centralized platforms make so many single points of failure.

I LIKE when centralized platforms tank. It allows space for competition and encourages leople to join communities that are more specific to their interest.

Also every site trying to copy the latest hot button social media is getting kind of annoying. First Youtube adding Shorts, then Facebook "Meta" adding Threads (good move for them business-wise, they're losing users to old age lmao).

That said, I have no issues participating on Reddit, they earned the small amount of traffic that they do get from me.

You'll have to find somewhere to put it that doesn't already have "Fuck Spez" plastered all over it

Also I think the canvas is smaller this year and despite the drama I suspect that the number of people using it is similar.

I have a trophy on my Reddit account for having a pixel that survived to the end of the last r/place. My sole contribution was being part of the battle over how the Bad Dragon logo's eye should look, though honestly I don't even remember which side of that battle I was on.

I kinda doubt it, there's not going to be nearly as much hype what with the last one happening just last year. it's also way out of season, late July just dosn't have the same "let's do something wacky" vibe that early April does.

I had thought of doing something on coordinates (6, 21), but it would be smack dab in the middle r/Save3rdPartyApps' protest statement (which is arguably more important now than ever).

Edit: Something is happening on (621, -621).
