I know it specifically says searching favorites does not preserve the order they were added in, but... is there any way to do exactly that? Most sites have a sort:fav_asc option or something similar. Is there no way to search your favorites in the order you faved them?

you can slap your fav list on the search bar and follow it up with an order: syntax (e.g. fav:rapistwerewolf order:score_asc)

When you go to your favorites, they are by default displayed in the order you favorited them in. However, if you add additional search terms (or even just search for your favorites again using the search bar), they revert to the order they were added.

In case it wasn't clear, I am specifically trying to sort them by the order I favorited them. Which it is in if you click on your favorites by default, but once you search, it defaults to order they were added to the site. I want to retain the order I favorited them while searching them.

You can't, sorry.
That's just a site limitation that cannot be worked around.

Sets can act like a personal favourite, and they preserve the order they were added to the set.
