Topic: What happened to DasherSlash? [Reason]

Posted under Off Topic

For anyone who know DasherSlash for making stories with his ocs with his predator rabbit, here's the source why all of his art is deleted and set to DNP list. Source + reason.
Again this if for people who don't have ink bunny account or get confused on why all of his work is mass deleted.

This is just an update and information about the artist. That's all.

I'm surprised anyone noticed. I never felt particularly welcome on this site.

I set myself to DNP because e621 was frankly quite hostile towards me and my art. I only started drawing two years ago with no prior experience or practice, and know I have a lot to learn (and indeed I welcome constructive feedback), but this is not a place of constructive criticism. Perhaps emboldened or feeling justified due to the objectionable nature of my themes, people would say callous and cruel things about me, my artistic ability, and my mental state in the comments.

On other sites like Inkbunny I have an "audience" who largely understand where I'm coming from and know they're interacting with me when they comment something on a piece I post. Generally speaking, they seem to take my history and current progress into account when commenting, and are more thoughtful in what they say with the knowledge that a real person (me) will read it.

Here, people are unfiltered with their thoughts (perhaps assuming I wouldn't see it), and the comments were largely destructive to my desire to create, produce, and learn. I know that's the Internet sometimes, and you need a thick skin, but there's a big difference between "The arms would look more natural if you did X to fix the proportions" and "Lmao this is so fucking bad it hurts my eyes".

If I return, it'll be only on my Telegram channel and Inkbunny. Not here.
