kinda hurts the eyes to look at these kinds of "3d" pics for very long (i'm glad they don't use that type of 3d in movies and stuff, would make it very hard to watch for very long.). in regards to that strange stereoscopy thing, all i'll say is this: i don't like looking at things with my eyes crossed as it just seems a ridiculous thing to do tbh and tends to just make everything blurry and out of focus.

still, for this type of pic that would obviously require 3d glasses, should it be tagged as such or not?

3D tag is for 3D model stuff.

I think what we should do is implement a tag for stereoscopic 3d, akin to the 3d you see at a movie theater, or on a Nintendo 3DS system.

Wii-U Gamepad also has 3D support,but not used due to performance issues. :3

Edit: Gamecube also supports 3D, but at the time the screen costed more then the GC itself.

well, the pic i linked isn't a 3d model and its not a stereoscopic pic (there would be 2 pics side by side if that were the case) yet it IS a form of 3d. an old one

• stereogram
• analglyph - Needs 3d glasses
• cross_eye_stereogram - Works by unfocusing your eyes
• wiggle_stereogram - No glasses or funny faces required, may induce headache
• 3d/cgi - These overlap a lot, but 3d is the look, while cgi is the method. Put another way, a pencil drawing can be 3d but not cgi, and a game might be cgi but not always 3d.

You should tag it as anaglyph and this tag already implies stereogram.

done and now i know the difference between all those things.

analglyph: the pain! (somewhat less painful to look at yet still rather annoying WITH 3d glasses)

wiggle_stereogram: i can see how this one might cause a headache after a while but to me it seems the least annoying/difficult to look at of the 3 types by far.
