Topic: FA starting to ban for feral NSFW of certain Pokemon species once again

Posted under General

If you have anything you like that's only posted on FA I recommend archiving it soon. The staff at FA had been quiet for a while but they've now started to act and have been hitting artists that have all their art here and none of it's considered underage by anyone who's ever looked at it. Eevee Poochyena Fennekin and Vulpix are being targeted despite lip service from the mods there that they wouldn't target species.

They are also handing out retaliatory bans to people that inform those where to find the artist to get updates about commissions they took via FA.

Updated

because "sOmE pOKeMoNs SpEcIeS iS AlWaYs CuB" despite Nintendo confirming this is not the case, and pokemon age having nothing to do with evolution.

I mean, you say that, but there there's literally a set of pokémon called baby pokémon that are defined as being unable to produce eggs until after they've evolved. implying that evolution is, for some species at least, analogous to aging and/or going through puberty.

That would be almost half logical, if the pokemon they're banning were even on that list. (they're not). When FA implemented this change, numerous people correctly predicted that there would be disastrous results. I just don't think pokemon should be specifically targeted, especially if they're drawn with adult proportions.

Nidoqueen and Nidorina can't breed, yet Nidoran females can. While one could argue that this was down to a bug in a very buggy game where they flipped the comparison and If statement, they went with it and it's considered canon. So how does the puberty thing work with them?

These are pretty much the only pokemon we ban on the Furry Diffusion discord server without looking deeper. If it isn't on that list we compare it to its cannon looks (for non-anthro), the setting it is in, and so on before making the determination. But as pointed out, eevee is not on that list. Eevee, Nidorina, Nidoran, Cubone might've been designed as young/baby pokemon, but they never got the actual "baby" designator when it was introduced, so as far as canon is concerned, those pokemon are not babies.

Mind that if we get multiple people reporting the same image as young and the first report was dismissed, it'll get re-evaluated, and likely removed due to the fact that more than one person saw the image as "being too young" (there's a report from this morning of an anthro elephant dressed up as Mario that got reported as cub that I could go either way on, for example, so I'm deferring to another mod or waiting on another report).

Living like this sounds exhausting.

I mean, when you've got a machine making your pictures for you you've gotta find some way to spend all that extra time.

It's a Discord problem, if you consider that a problem. It's a large part of why I don't really care to post my furry porn in e621's #afterdark channel (and I'm not in other furry servers). Between the literal young/cub art I'd need to filter out and the deluge of "young-lite" styled art (e.g., most on-model pokeporn) I'd need to toss out because maybe Discord would punish us or maybe someone with puritanical sensibilities would go "isn't that character a little small to be an adult," it's just not worth the effort and not enjoyable anymore. Also enough people consider feral porn a fetish worthy of spoilering anyway 🙄. IMO, furry porn's about indulging in being a weirdo, not manicuring one's appearance for public acceptability.

Fuuck please e6 don't go in this direction, mainstream porn being so boring and soulless is why I am here.

If e6 does this shit, I'm out

I was talking about banning the pokemon, don't know what AI has to do with it.

I thought you were talking about ai since the comment you responded to is talking about porn being "soulless" a common descriptor of ai art, and ai was discussed further up the comment chain.

And I thought both you and the other guy were talking about banning cub.

One of the biggest issues with text-based communication lol. Difficult to tell what people are talking about. Have to make assumptions, and sometimes they're wrong.

Well, I don't really want cub banned either. To be clear, I'm against banning any cub, pokemon, or cub_pokemon

It can be confusing at times, especially when the conversation goes in all different directions, and multiple different issues are being discussed on the same thread.

Haha, and it gets better: Trolls will file multiple reports of something they want taken down, just to spite people. This was soooooo abused on Tumblr, back in the day. Probably still is for the few still using it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NOTDUMB A kind of humorous article about trying to out-troll the veterans.

It is. Its incredibly exhausting and not worth it at all. But antis have got themselves so down bad in the cult mentality that they dont know any way to live other than constant paranoia.
