Topic: Is there a way to download batches of art from deviantart at full resolution?

Posted under General

There's an artist that I wanna post their art here, but they only use decviantart and furaffinity, on furaffinity their older art is capped at a wonderful 1280px width or height and while the art on deviantart is available at a higher resolution, I must use the download button which is slow and I need an account or else the art will always be these pre/fullview thumbnails.

Using a command-line program designed specifically for this is a 'trick'? *reads it* (It's obsolete version?) Oh, yeah, I guess the 'trick' with some of these tools is relying on (now or soon-to-be) abandoned API calls. If you had the old non-Wix URLs, you could request them and it would replace them with Wix links, but I think you had to be logged in for that to work. I found that when using a site like archive.today to archive a DA page, I'd have to immediately copy the URL of download link to create another archive, to get the full size archived. They have an expiration and time out if you don't do that.

There's tons of ways. I made a burner account specifically for mature posts and programs like WFDownloader or extensions/userscripts (the most stable way as they'd risk blocking browsers).

Eww, looked into it deeper: https://github.com/mikf/gallery-dl/issues/4652 Basically, they were using a flaw in how JWT is implemented, and it got patched out. Basically, there's a ton of stuff that got impossible to access. I didn't realize that it was to get them even if there was no Download button before reading that.

On Tumblr, you had to use a workaround where you imported them into your own account then archived it, right?
