Topic: Mistagged? None of this looks like anthro to me...

Posted under General

A lot of images in this pool look feral/semi-anthro to me, but are tagged anthro: https://e621.net/pools/34891

If it was just one or two images I would change it myself, but since it's basically the entire pool that appears mistagged, I'd rather ask here before just doing it just in case I'm misunderstanding something.

in my eyes, if the character's got thumbs it's probably not feral. (unless it's a primate or some other animal that normally has thumb-like digits)

Ever heard of semi-anthro?

(I'm such an illiterate dumbass)

while i'd tag both those characters with semi-anthro given the hind legs of both of them; i'd say the otter with the mrs. brisby look would fit being tagged anthro as it's bipedal and everything above the belt strikes more anthro than animal. the lucent resident has much more animalistic characteristics, it's fingers are stubbier, has a very quadrupedal gait and even when it's standing upright it caries itself more like a bear or cat standing upright than anything human. so i'd tag him as a feral

This is basically how I feel. The creature comes across as more feral to me, and while I can see someone wanting to tag semi-anthro, anthro itself seems incorrect for him.

Most otters do have thumb like digits, they're just not quite opposable like primates.

She just looks like an otter with better thumbs and slightly longer hair on her head. She still has webbed paws. What else would have to change to depict her in her "natural (real) form"?

I'd say she's much closer to an otter's natural form rather than any anthro.
