this kinda seems like a distinction without much of a diffrence. we can't have half a dozen levels of scale for every tag family that it might apply to.

How do you distinguish them visually, is what I mean. Since tags are TWYS, you need to be able to tell by looking at the picture, and not going by the say-so of the creator.

the thing is that there needs to be some reason for the tag to exist, it needs to have some utility that isn't already done better by an existing tag or some combination of existing tags. and there needs to be some cutoff for when a tag's use case is too specific to have much of a practical function.
