Topic: What are your thoughts on Helluva Boss? (What makes a Series a Star in the Fandom, Dood?)

Posted under Off Topic

With over Twenty Thousand posts (And Going!) related
to Helluva Boss, It's been super cool seeing how this 18+
cartoon I saw online become this massive phenomenon
in the fluffy community!

Though I've been wondering for the longest time,
What are your thoughts on Helluva Boss, Dood?

What was the hook for you if you enjoyed the source
material?

Or if you're a spectator, Just as surprised as I
am at how much the material took off, Spawning into
a full Fandom like MLP, Undertale, and Five Nights did,
what do you think the trigger for it all was?

Was including fluffy peeps all it took, or
would the foundation of writing, timing, and story
need to be strong for it to support this many peeps?

Would love to read your thoughts on this, Dood!

Really good character development. Very good story. Very good animation as well. Obviously a lot of thought and effort was put into it.

There's 461 Squirrel and Hedgehog posts. Yes, that is all it take.

Show never really stuck with me. Honestly think that the character designs and animation carry the show’s writing

Never watched it, the fanart is nice tho.

Same here, while I've only seen clips of it and tbh it doesn't really vibe well with me I do still enjoy a lot of the cute and cool fanart made of it's cast.

I watched it back when there were only 3 episodes, really liked it, and proceeded to forget about it. I should probably watch through the rest of it some time...

I'm really curious about what they're going to do with the Stolitz arc. The Ozzie and Fizz episodes were also really enjoyable. Looking forward to more episodes and the fan artwork also tend to be nice. It's not nearly as big as MLP was but that's OK.

Haven’t watched it past the pilot which was years ago, but through osmosis I got a general sense of the vibe and direction of the series. I’m surprised that Stolas and Blitzo’s affair grew into a larger plot point since it was treated like a gag in the pilot. Guess I’ll have to watch the series to know if it’s handled well or not.

It’s funny how you use the MLP, Undertale, and FNAF fandoms as points of comparison, since I’d wager that Helluva Boss’ older fans were once in those very fandoms and moved onto HB as they grew up because it has the same cartoon/furry appeal but with a more adult sense of humor.
