Hey, I'm looking for some good Indie-animations aside from the popular ones like Helluva Boss, Lackadaisy or the works of Glitch.
I saw that "Atlas and the Stars" got it's first episode released and I honestly never heard of it if it weren't for the YT algorithm putting it on my front page.

So I thought that we maybe could collect some promising projects here that are honestly good but didn't get much range, if there are any of course. Not to give me something to watch primarily, but to have a list of general recommendations for the community in case somebody else looks out for those

it depends on what you're looking for, honestly. do you only want stuff that's currently in production? what medium of animation? what genre?

My Little Goat

Description:
My Little Goat is a 2018 Stop Motion animated short from director Tomoki Misato, produced by the Tokyo University of the Arts. A dark fantasy inspired by Grimm Fairy Tales, it is a modern retelling of The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats. Mother Goat rescues her little goats from a wolf's belly.

i feel like what is good is subjective but here are my favorites (i'll may avoid with more than millions of views):
- desert-mayhem (extremely underrated, despite the simple plot, the animation and style is phenomenal)
- monkey wrench (really love how entertaining the animation is and art style is really clean. very top-notch, also really good world-building expansion)
- godspeed (i love the geometric style and it's very emotionally ranching)
- bolavlk/werewolf (very symbolic and specific audience like me may relate to this. the art style is very crispy and unique, love this one)
- the audience (despite the creator and extremely confusing plot, i really love the characters and art style)

i'll probably expand more but these are my favorites lol
