This isn't the first time the subject has some up. I've had other posts removed by auto moderator in the past that didn't seem to me like they should have been.

If you feel that post passes both applicability and quality requirements, it doesn't hurt to contact a mod, I guess. Usually you use a private message, not forum post, though.
