Tag Alias: Waffles -> Waffle

I think that says it all...

It seems that waffles is a character tag.

Because the tag waffles is being used on images with more then 1 waffle if there is a character called waffles, then why not tag them as waffles_(character) ?

No, thats not what I mean. I'll explain, - First we have 3 tags, waffle then waffles they both are for the food, then the 3rd tag waffles_(character)

waffles is more then 1 of the food product waffle.

waffles_(character) is unrelated char. (nothing to do with this thread subject)

The tag alias we speak of is for the food, because currently we both have waffle and waffles (aka the food).....so waffles should = waffle as they are the same thing, food.

Waffles is a food tag, which has nothing to do with the char with that name. The Alias this thread is suggesting are for the 2 food tag related tags of waffles and waffle

I got it before.

It is more likely that someone would tag waffles the character as waffles and cause it to create tag problems, than someone tagging waffles as a multiple of the food tagging it as waffles and causing tag problems.

If you tag waffles as food, and the tag turns into "waffles_(character)" you'll see that and change it to waffle.
If you tag waffles the character and it changes to "waffle" meaning food chance are you won't see it and it will cause bad tags to be floating around.

There is only 1 image that is tagged as the char...So thats not a problem. Also if you try to make waffles = the char that would turn all the images with waffles into them and mess up the tags.

Bottom line is, there is only 1 image tagged with waffles_(character) and a lot more images tagged with waffles, so honestly your suggestion would do more harm then anything.

Besides only image is tagged with the char tag, and theres no other art of them being uploaded, so the main focus is on the food.

Still more likely to cause an issue if we alias it to waffle than to waffles_(character)

There is only 1 image with waffles_(character) there is no point, as every time new images appear on the site with waffles people tag waffles....This suggestion is just to fix the future problems of these 2 tags that mean the same thing.

And for the last time I AM NOT saying we should alisa waffles_(character) to anything, re-read the thread.

Dude, no. What's wrong with the waffle tag? Waffles was used as a character tag so we decided to change waffles to waffles_(character). Waffle is just the breakfast food item/items. Since waffles is not used, we can alias it to waffle.

Waffle is when you criticize a USA politician for changing their opinion.
