Topic: About Ra and a (NSFW) creation story

Posted under Off Topic

i've seen various comments [or article] that said something like; "Some Ancient Egyptian Myths describe Ra creating the universe by masturbating and cumming" i think?. basically; On Mythological Egyptian universe-creation stories, in one of those is that Ra the Sun God created the universe through masturbation. i am curious about this nsfw myth story.... how is it exactly described, and what are it's sources?, if any of you know at least

Unless you can read hieroglyphics, you will never know how it is exactly described other than what was said/interpreted by archaeologists in the field of Egyptology.

To start, in older myths, Ra did not create the universe, it was Atum.
I can't find where exactly it said that he masturbated the universe into existence, but what I have read was:

  • "At the moment of creation Atum was said to been born out of the primordial flood as ‘he came into being by himself’, thus becoming the source of all further creation. The god next producd two children, Shu (air) and Tefnut (moisture), from himself. Several versions of the story exist, in all of them Atum’s children are produced through the exhalation of the god’s body fluids or mucus - either through the metaphor of masturbation, spitting or sneezing." (Wilkinson, 2003, p. 17-18).

Secondly, later at some point, Atum and Ra/Re were merged together into a single deity known as Amun-Ra and thus both became to be referred to as the creator of the universe and shared similar stories.

  • "According to the cosmogonic ideas developed in Heliopolis and at other sites, the sun god Re was the supreme creator who emerged from the primeval waters at the beginning of time to create every aspect of the world. ... Re then went on to create all living things in a manner which varies according to different versions of the myth. In one story involving a play on words Re created man (remetj) from his tears (remut) which fell to the earth, while in another, the sun god ‘cut' his own phallus (possibly meaning circumcision) and the two deities Hu (‘authority') and Sia (‘mind') are said to have sprung from the drops of blood which fell to earth. In all versions of the story, however, it was the sun god who created other deities and human beings, and in this guise Re was called both ‘father’ and ‘mother’ of all living things." (Wilkinson, 2003, p. 208).
Unrelated NSFW Stories

On an unrelated note, there was also a popular urban legend circulating that Pharaohs would ritually masturbate into the Nile river to worship Min, the god of male sexual procreativity, but that has been debunked due to the lack of hard evidence (Lalonde, 2022 ).

Another wilder story involves Horus and Set, where they had to compete for the Throne of Egypt. One evening, Set invited Horus to stay at his palace, and as the two lay together resting, Set tried to have sex with Horus to prove his dominance. However, Horus manages to slip his hands between his thighs and catch Set's semen with his hand, which he (or Isis) then disposes far way. Later, Horus spreads his own semen on some lettuce that Set would unknowingly consume. When it was finally time to settle who becomes king, Set boasted to the other gods that he had "done a man's deed" on Horus and told the gods to call out for them. When they did, Set's semen answered from far way and thus invalidated Set's claim. Then, Horus makes the same claim but on Set and asks the gods to call out for his semen, which then answered from inside Set. (Foutz, 2015 ).

are there any pornographic artwork and/or fanmade stories based on this?

just asking... is there any porn art and/or explicit fan-stories on this Ra story either on furaffinity, or sofurry, or anything elsewhere?

I don't know for real. Tagging on those sites are either too sparse or unreliable, you'd to skim through potentially hundreds of artwork with Ra in them while also finding him creating the universe the dirty way.

You could also look up Archive of Our Own for fanfics involving Ra, but I doubt there is one for this specific creation story.
