Topic: New Tag "nottanj_rouge"

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Saw a new tag popping up and am wondering if this is the correct way to tag things.
The subject is a 3D model. Instead of "nottanj_rouge", wouldn't it just be "rouge_the_bat" for the character tag and "nottanj" as artist tag plus whoever made the render.
Making a new character tag for one artist's interpretation of an existing character doesn't seem like something that's usually done.

It would be nottanj_(modeler), if anything. Plain artist tags are for who made the render, to avoid confusing posts nottanj rendered vs someone else rendering using one of their models. But yes, making a new character tag for someone's interpretation of a preexisting character isn't how it's supposed to be done as it just leads to confusion and tag bloat, even though there's been an epidemic of people making such tags without resistance. There's some pending BURs to start trying to undo it.
