Topic: Stop takedowns to the posts I upload.

Posted under General

You could stop making takedowns to the posts I upload. It is necessary to preserve the art of several artists that I like, I don't care if there are other people that don't like the art of those artists.

It seems like one of the artists that you like has asked the moderation to take your posts down on their behalf.

The artist (not we) does not want their art here, stop posting it.

For posts that were taken down by the automoderator after the 30 day time limit, you can message NotMeNotYou to see if the posts can be reinstated.

There should be a way for posts to be backed up on The Big ImageBoard, so that if a post is deleted by a takedown, it is still available on the aforementioned site.

Can’t you just respect their wishes instead?

Maybe go ask the artist?

The point of a takedown is that the artist/character owner doesn't want it here, we aren't going to provide tools to circumvent that

...then just upload it there yourself? Whatever another website does is nothing to do with here.

e621 doesn't want any part in hosting artists' work without their consent - why don't you just ask for permission instead? Out of 100+ artists I've asked to archive their art here, only 4 have said ever no and an even smaller number than that have retracted their permission.

Unfortunately a site like this(everything above-board and legally accountable) cannot preserve art against its own creator. You'll have to find another site, or be satisfied with local backups.
