Topic: Irrelevant to site?

Posted under General

I would like to know what qualifies as relevant or not for the site to post, since i got a meme post of an exercise ball with two horse cocks on top of it, with impact font text on it reading: "hop on, since your silly ass gotta bounce" rejected/deleted
shortly after posting it. https://e621.net/posts/4815356

Had accepted that it was somehow not allowed to just draw horse penises on their own and moved on until i saw that posts like these: https://e621.net/posts/4915743 are up, a scanned valentines card that has just humanoid angels painting a burning heart.
Not only that but the reason for the posts deletion was: "[DELETION] Irrelevant to site (Zero pictured)", ok go check the tag (Zero pictured) and it has 1.9k posts on it, whats the matter then with my post?

Zero pictured is only allowed if it's part of a collection that contains furry characters. (ex: the title page of a furry comic).

I'm pretty sure this used to be explained in https://e621.net/help/uploading_guidelines but I can't seem to find it anymore...

read it and it fits a couple of good things to post categories:
Any art or animations that are relevant to "furries", its horsecocks self explanatory
Art you have created

but also in the bad things to upload
Memes / Image macros: Any pre-existing image with some text slapped over it.
Exception: If the image has been drawn specifically for that particular meme, then it's okay.

the image was created with the text over it, its integral to the drawing

but still i got the question, why is the example i gave up when the meme was taken down?

That's basically a couple of horse dildos merged with an exercise ball. As clever as your idea is, it's basically a still life with no furry characters involved. With no characters, there's no relevance to the site. In this case, it being a meme wasn't a factor in the deletion.

Now, if the exercise ball had somehow been obviously portrayed as a living being (we have weirder things uploaded here), then it might have been acceptable, although it being an image macro probably wouldn't have helped.

Wings count as sufficiently nonhuman for acceptability. Cupid and classical winged angels frequently get a pass as long as it's obvious those wings are attached to their bodies.

As Kyiiel says, zero_pictured is acceptable only if part of a pool or a parent/child sequence. In both cases, they need to be an integral part of the storyline of the sequence instead of just one pinup amongst others.

Question about irrelevancy: since when is "recent real life crime" irrelevant to the site?

Irrelevant to site: "based on a recent real life crime"

was the reason given.

How long until it’s not too recent anymore? Can I appeal for the deletion in a month or will it still be too recent?

A meme relevant to furries poking fun at those who love to attach horse penises and anuses to anything being a silly "haha sit on the horse dick" is irrelevant when, theres furries whose whole fetish is being a latex balloon inflated. kinda gives an idea that is acceptable to post when its involving horse dildos.
I see this up when its very similar to my post in nature https://e621.net/posts/4293478
more examples, if possible i would like an explanation for these, if possible just asking to take a look:

These ones are pretty easy to explain. As per the uploading guidelines, "Any submission before 2015 has been grandfathered in and does not need to reflect our current or future guidelines. "

e621 was a very different place decades ago, where the eligibility criteria was pretty much "whatever an admin finds funny or interesting" like a cat wearing a tie, memes or just straight up nightmare fuel.

Obligatory "I'm not a janitor" but I'll give my opinions on these since I'm already replying.

It's unclear without any outside context that these are dildos, and could be real disembodied penises - which count as a character. The tags on this are currently conflictingly stating that they are both dildos and disembodied penises at the same time.

Having bases leans them closer to being dildos, in my opinion, but I still believe it's plausible a penis could be drawn this way. The source does in fact state they're dildos, but twys applies in the context of inclusion as well as exclusion.

Presumably the tentacle is alive here, but it's definitely borderline in terms of relevancy. The penis could also be disembodied rather than a dildo, but I think additional context is given here which more obviously makes it a dildo.

Viewing the Pixiv source shows why I misunderstood that it wasn't not relevant. Just as an example of an upload failure. Even if the character it was associated with is furry, and it has bunny ears, it's technically not allowed. However, if it had been in a group of related images including said furry characters, then it would have likely been allowed. (AFAICT)

Zero pictured differs slightly for relevancy guidelines than for tagging. Tentacles don't seem to be deletable for zero_pictured (everything deleted under that search was for a different reason), so that's how they pass
