Bluey is an australian animated TV series created by Joe Brumm, an Australian animator, director and writer. It is produced by Queensland-based company Ludo Studio.

The show follows Bluey, an anthropomorphic six-year-old (later seven-year-old) Blue Heeler puppy who is characterised by her abundance of energy, imagination and curiosity about the world. The young dog lives with her father, Bandit; mother, Chilli; and younger sister, Bingo, who regularly joins Bluey on adventures as the pair embark on imaginative play together. Other characters featured each represent a different dog breed. Overarching themes include the focus on family, growing up, and Australian culture. The program was created and is produced in Queensland; its capital city Brisbane inspires the show's setting.

Bluey is one of the greatest cartoons made today honestly.
My brother watches it with his kids and they both enjoy it, its got stuff for both parents and children and showcases a rarity in cartoons and films, a competent dad.
Its a great watch no matter your Age, and features Australia too inside of it as they visit area's you can visit in real life in QLD. One thing to note, when Disney first aired it in America they censored a lot of stuff that was not censored in the Australian versions so things do vary a bit. (One of the censors was funny, they changed a small remark about getting the snip because Bandit doesn't want to have any more kids, to Bandit remarking about wanting to bite someone and teeth removal and its like what kind of censor is that)
Having watched it all myself, the show makes me both laugh and cry, its a good watch.

I wonder what happened to gen 5? I stopped watching gen 4 around season 5 and never saw anything from gen 5, even the movie.

I like how both shows had their "wait a minute, this show is actually kinda good" moment with their respective audiences.
fun fact: one of the earliest artists to join the Bluey team was Chris Voigt, aka greasytales or sexual-lobster, an Australian newgrounds and youtube animator famous for his parodies and original animations such as his pleasure island series and it's respective characters manwhore and gooseman (i believe he's a storyboard artist and still works on the show as such)
i even found out about bluey first when he posted a promo of the show to express his excitement on working on a new children's show coming from his home country
