It's like I'm reading a cheap tabloid article with a question in the title - the answer to which is almost always "No."

But just to humor you, here's their tag history. That should include deletions.

I can't tell you why something got deleted if I don't know what you're talking about, I go through ~400 images each day, so there is a lot in there that I don't remember once I dealt with it.

The deleted index is the easiest to look at, but mod actions will show it all in order (without the reason given). There's about ~500 posts in there that have a recent takedown, so after the first page you'll have to go 16-17 pages over to get more day-to-day stuff.

NMNY does the bulk of the approvals and all of the takedowns so it's only natural that they will have more deletions, but we all follow the same guidelines for what is approved and what is deleted, anything we aren't sure of gets discussed with the other admins before it's removed.

Here are the most common reasons (in order of commonness):

• Inferior/duplicate - We keep only the best copy available, smaller/cropped versions are considered inferior and will be deleted to help keep the search clean. This is probably 70-90% of what gets deleted on any given day and it ranges from new posts to 8 year old posts, but there's always going to be a better copy put in it's place so it isn't exactly deleted as far as the search goes.
• DNP/paid content - This is just official business and it comes with the job. This is done both to comply with the artist's wishes and to minimize chance of legal action. Additionally, paid content must be 2 years old before it can be posted here. This varies widely day-to-day.
• Irrelevant to site - This falls under a couple things, I'll address them individually:
• Human only - The site caters to furry art, but generally speaking that means non-human (funny skin colors don't count). The more human-focused it is the more likely it is to be deleted.
• Non-furry art (Excluding human only art) - Stuff like "a drawing of a bowl of fruit" is considered irrelevant as it also falls under non-furry art.
• Minimum quality standards - There's a really wide margin of error here as it's extremely hard to outline this objectively.
• Art that is overly compressed, blurry, or with extremely small resolution (200x200) will get deleted. This does not take into account the actual quality of the art (example: 1)
• Gross anatomical problems, very unrefined sketches, excessive clipping (for 3d art) will get deleted. This is probably the hardest to define but if if the artist's style is bad enough that you have difficulty understanding what you are looking at, it will probably be deleted. I won't link other artist's work out of courtesy, instead to illustrate this I'll link one of mine that I drew as a joke.
• Broken/corrupted images - Something went wrong with the upload, usually one gets re-uploaded in its place.
• Real pornographic images - As a rule of thumb real stuff is usually deleted anyways, but some stuff will be accepted from time to time. Anything pornographic and real will not be approved as very little of this falls under furry art anyways and it simplifies complying with state and local laws (read: underage). It's also not the focus of the site (which is mostly drawn art).
• Screencaps - These aren't art...well they may be art too, but this is done to help reduce clutter. It's easy to upload a dozen screencaps but they aren't the focus of the site and will most likely be deleted if found.
• Bad/unauthorized edit (not done by original artist) - This is one of the least common reasons, but minor edits (change a hat color), adding poorly drawn genitals, bad photoshops with a sombrero and fake mustache clip art, etc. is generally deleted. Some stuff (unofficial colorings of uncolored art) is still accepted, but it's taken on a case-by case basis.
• Misc. reasons: Art that has watermarks that the artist didn't put on there (ignoring the art itself, the bottom bar in this image, censored art that has official uncesored versions available, image macros (usually deleted)

If you don't like the type of posts that an admin deletes, then you should probably show some examples of said posts, otherwise it's very hard to agree or disagree with your argument.

That said, Nimmy knows the rules pretty damn well, don't think he made any wrong deletions going by the rules of the site.

This is going a bit far, and i dont think that NMNY deletions (or ipikki, some people see him as a destroyer of posts), should be more than a little joke.
But yeaaa, sometimes I see fine posts which go bye bye on quality control, and later on i check on gipbandit and im like "what do you mean "approved by notmenotyou"? If gipbandit would actually manage to concentrate on drawing for more than 10 minutes, it would be a miracle" Which feels like notmenotyou's minimal standarts can spike at times.

It's a term used to describe when 3D objects that look like solid objects pass through each other as if they don't take up any physical space.

I also follow this rules what you're staying and i'm trying to understand for this. Hope you will promise to restore of my own doujinshi ones that we're deleted because new commercial content being DNP to be restored if it becomes two years old.

Additionally, i stopped uploading doujinshi anymore after i got blocked for uploading new doujinshi under DNP.

The edit actually took away from the art of the post. I can't appreciate the actual art because the edit was out of place, wrong style, and had a MS Paint feel to it whereas the rest of the post didn't.

People on those websites would be more appreciating of your contributions. You would not get flagged, you would not get "5 day bans" for violating DNP, since there isn't a DNP list there for you to violate).

honestly as an artist i think that the lack of DNP makes those sites bad. the DNP list exists here because e621 respects artists and their wishes. if an artist doesnt want their art posted here, they will be set on DNP and it will be against rules to post their art here. also new pay content is DNP because e621 encourages people to support the artists by paying for them instead of illegally watching their material.
